Woodlands

When choosing my own genre or subject for pictures i wanted to take some pictures in a woodlands area capturing the scenery with different angles and using the different natural lights.

The first couple of pictures i walked up so i was on high ground and able to look down into the woodlands i took these two pictures from slightly different angles in which captured different lights .The first picture is from more of a right angle and captures the sun light coming through the trees in the left off the picture i think this is really effective and works well as the right side of the picture is darker.

The second picture i moved further forward and was stood more central doing this only a slight bit of sunlight in coming through on the left of the picture , because of the lack of light the picture would of been to dark so in order to add a Little i used flash when took the picture.
I also wanted to capture a picture looking upwards and seeing the height of the trees and the light beaming through them , after finding a spot i layed down and pointed the camera at a angle looking up ,i really like this picture and how the sun is not to over powering but effective enough to give light shadows onto parts of the trees.

I next wanted to experiment with focus in my pictures and also depth of filed in capturing some objects in the picture closer to the camera than others. I found a part of the forest which i thought this would work really well with having the branches at the for front of the picture and then the rocks in the background.

When i first took the picture the focus was completely out and instead of the leafs being in focus the whole picture was out of focus . After changing the F from F6.3 to F5.3 the focus was a lot better and worked really well with the next two  picture.
