Abstract photography is where the subject of the picture is shot in a close up angle in order that can see a patten or a shape which would not normally be able to see in such detail , furthermore usually the subject in abstract photography is usually not recognisable because of the closeness of the shot.
Before looking into this i had only ever heard of abstract art and thought it was work which was always a little strange and they just labelled it abstract work with a hidden meaning not always obvious at first look , when looking in to abstract photography i found that part of what i thought was true and that that sometimes the photographs represented something while representing its own form it might also represent a larger concept.
I looked at some photos that had taken and in order to get the best detail decided to instead of taking some new pictures to instead crop these previous pictures so that the detail would be really clear and would not have to worry about depth field .
Here is the original picture of the flower 
And here is the cropped abstract style picture showing it from a close up angle and showing speckles of water on the flower which would previously not of seen in the original picture.
Another example of after picking a picture that had taken then after cropping it on photo shop how you can really get a extreme close up which essentially is what most abstract pictures are and this shows the tiny Patton on the blue of the wrapper which would not see on the original picture .
