After taking the pictures we then moved onto the development process
I first few steps of the process are loading the film into the camera extracting tongue from the film canister and loading the film from the canister and loading the film onto the spiral .
tools- scissers can opener and film + spirral key to always remember to be aware of what tools feel like as when doing this part of the process it will be completely dark
next step is to open the canister and take the film out to load onto the spiral , once open and load onto the spiral load onto the bigger starting points and once rolled around the spiral the cut of end piece of film.
to exstract the tongue from the canister need a special device both pieces of plastic on the device are pushed into the canister and rotate until click and then gently removed.
Development process in the dark room-
the exposure and development is purely down to the photographer and exposure process they choose.
3 tanks full of 15 leaters 1 of development the second a stop bath(vinger basesd) then the third the fix to which is a acid base mix ,in a negative black appears as white and white appears as black .
development - deep tanks process film for 7 mins after film for 5 mins film onto the rod adjitate for short periods of time .slide the film on after 2 mins adjitating again both together to make sure no air on he film then stop bath then to ficer no more development is done so no more exposure so a light is able to be on.
wash and dry - with the tub and the film inside fill with water and then after 30 mins of washing time add then a small wetting agent once emptyed the film can be hung up to dry in the dryer.
for my prints after looking at how long would have them under , i struggled with all my attempts at this time not being able to get the right contrast between to dark and to light ,furthermore i feel this would of worked better if had taken better pictures as all of these was not clear and had dust particals on them , in addition if was todo this again i would make sure my photographs was taken better and take a lot more tests to decide how much time is needed in this process.
